A conversation about cookies, web analytics, AI and the changing role of search engine optimisation.
Listen on SpotifyI help teams fix their tracking, make sense of their data and improve their websites.
I like untangling messy tracking setups, bringing scattered reports together and making site structures clearer. I want people to understand what is happening and decide what to do next.

When the process and data are in good shape, AI can expand what one person is able to do. Clearly defined steps and metrics make it possible to repeat the work consistently, even at a scale that would be impractical to handle manually.
Good systems should make the next decision easier. That is usually the test I come back to, whether I am working on measurement, site structure, tracking, or something in between.
My work often sits between SEO, analytics, content, tracking, and technical implementation. I look at how those areas connect rather than treating each one as a separate problem. Sometimes that also means questioning the problem itself. Are we solving the right thing, or have we accepted the original framing without checking it?
When something feels abstract, I try to make it concrete. That might mean using examples, analogies, diagrams, or a small working model. I would rather build something that can be tested than leave behind a vague recommendation that sounds finished.
AI can help apply a clear process more consistently. It does not fix bad source data, unclear ownership, or a process that nobody really understands.
I am happy to automate the routine work, but decisions stay with people. I build checkpoints into workflows where someone reviews the result before it moves on.
Measurement is worth the effort when someone makes a decision with it. Otherwise it is one more set of numbers to maintain.
Good work should give people enough context to judge what is important and enough structure to act on it. Tools can surface patterns, but people still decide what matters for the customer, the business, and the brand.
I have worked with SEO, analytics, and digital marketing since 2017. In that time, I have worked with organisations in ecommerce, telecommunications, insurance, healthcare, the public sector, B2B, and consumer services.
My work has covered technical SEO, analytics and tracking implementations, consent setups, measurement planning, dashboards, website redesigns, and search-driven site structure planning.
I have always been interested in how technology, content, structure, and storytelling fit together. I have also written short-film screenplays, because I enjoy working out how ideas, pacing, and communication shape each other.
In my free time, I watch films and anime and play story-driven single-player games. Alan Wake and Metal Gear Solid are among my favourites. I like well-built stories, strong atmosphere, and worlds that are a little strange.
I also read comics, especially Batman and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I am drawn to original ideas and to worlds that consistently follow their own rules.
I dance Cuban salsa and locking. In both, I enjoy the rhythm, the practice, and the improvisation. Even a familiar move usually has something new to work on. I have learned to accept that I cannot do everything yet, and to enjoy the practice anyway.
I share ideas through articles, training, webinars and podcasts, especially around SEO, analytics, measurement and the practical use of AI in digital work.

Listen on SpotifyI write about the work I do myself: analytics, tracking, search engine optimisation and using AI at work. I use AI when writing, but the thinking is my own. Every article shows its publish date at the top and, when the content has changed, the date it was updated.
When a claim relies on an outside source, I link to the original, such as the vendor's own documentation. If an article's illustration was made with AI, the caption says so.
If you spot a mistake or outdated information, let me know. I will fix it and update the article's updated date.
The easiest way to reach me is LinkedIn. Send a message about working together, my work or the articles.
